New Unemployment Insurance Benefits System β Coming Summer 2024!
Iowa Workforce Development (IWD) is excited to be launching a new Unemployment Insurance (UI) System this summer, modernizing the entire process for both individuals and employers. Coming summer 2024, this update will create a single, unified system for the entire UI process that results in a better experience for all users.
Whatβs New?
The launch of the UI System in IowaWORKS means that users will now have a single login to complete and manage unemployment claims. As a result, Iowans can expect easier access to useful tools, a central claims center, and ultimately a faster process. Benefits of the system include:
- A single, unified system:
- No longer will users need to use two different systems to fully complete their unemployment weekly claims. This summer, the UI System in IowaWORKS will act as a central system to help individuals get back on the path to reemployment.
- Modernized tools that make things easier:
- The UI System in IowaWORKS combines new technology with a fully modernized system that streamlines the claims process from A to Z.
- A faster, more responsive system:
- The launch of the UI System in IowaWORKS will allow users to receive all updates and news about their unemployment from a central location. That means filing a claim, checking on its status, finding documentation or even addressing any issues will be made easier and more responsive.
