The Career Training Physical Expansion Grant Program (CTPE) is a new state-funded initiative designed to help Iowa community colleges, trade unions, and private sector apprenticeship programs expand their physical capacity to train more workers in the state's high-demand fields.

IWD established the program in fall 2026 after a bill signed by Governor Reynolds (House File 2610) created the program.
