What is Ticket to Work?
Introduction to Ticket to Work
The Ticket to Work (TTW) program is a federal program. It is for Social Security disability beneficiaries age 18 through 64 who receive Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits based on a disability and would like to work.
Ticket to Work is designed to provide help and support for those beneficiaries who desire to regain financial independence through employment.
TTW is free. It is voluntary and offers work incentives that allows your benefits to continue during the transition to employment.
Vocational Rehabilitation Services partners with other Employment Networks (ENs) to ensure you receive ongoing services once on the job.
Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services offers benefits counseling and planning services to enable SSI and SSDI beneficiaries to make informed choices about work. This includes access to Social Security Administration (SSA) work incentives planning services and other assistance to help you gain a better understanding of how you can pursue your plan for employment.
