Posting requirements vary by statute, not all employers are covered by each of the Department’s statutes and may not be required to post a specific notice. For example, some small businesses may not be covered by the Family and Medical Leave Act and would not be subject to the Act’s posting requirements.
Note: Effective June 27, 2023; the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA) requires covered employers to provide “reasonable accommodations” to a qualified worker’s known limitations related to pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions, unless the accommodation will cause the employer an “undue hardship.” An undue hardship is defined as causing significant difficulty or expense. Feel free to download and post the updated version of the Know Your Rights: Workplace Discrimination is Illegal poster, and the updated version of the Employee Polygraph Protection Act (EPPA) poster (both are available to download at the links above).
