DES MOINES, IA - The 2024 Request for Proposal (RFP) from the MBI-WORKS (Master Builders of Workforce Opportunities Require Knowledge and Skills) Endowment Board is open to schools and non-profit programs across Iowa through Sept. 20, 2024. First announced in June, the opportunity serves as an incredible opportunity for funding that provides a boost to education and workforce efforts to help recruit more Iowans into the commercial construction industry.
Interested applicants can view the Request for Proposal on the MBI website and apply today. Proposals will be accepted until 4:00 p.m. on September 20, 2024. Successful recipients of funding will be creative in their approach to increasing the number of Iowans entering the commercial construction workforce and increasing the awareness of the many career opportunities available within the industry.
The MBI-WORKS Endowment continues to fund opportunities that create the key connection point between Iowans and meaningful careers in commercial construction. Funds from this program have now leveraged just over $2.9 million in workforce recruitment efforts in the past five years, most recently funding seven different projects across the state for this year, ranging from the Siouxland area to Central Iowa to Denver, IA. IWD encourages all eligible applicants to consider applying for this incredible opportunity.
