Description

Founded in 1837, Floyd County was named after Sgt. Charles Floyd, the only member to die on the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Floyd County offers a wide variety of recreation and culture. From camping to hunting to even searching for fossils, visitors have something to do outdoors. As a Home Base Community, Floyd County has a strong commitment to veteran job placement, health care and education.
