Description

Founded in 1851, Kossuth County is named after the President of Hungary who came to exile in America, Lajos Kossuth. There is a wide array of wildlife and recreational areas within the county to camp, fish, kayak, hunt and much more. Kossuth County is also known for its many community celebrations such as Fenton's Sweet Corn Days and Whittemore Carnival Days. As a Home Base Community since May 2016, Kossuth County has a strong commitment to veteran job placement, health care and education.
