Calling all Iowa employers! Work-based learning (WBL) for high school students and adults is growing to jump-start careers and address Iowa’s skilled worker shortage, but our challenge is making these opportunities widely available.

Iowa Workforce Development (IWD) is seeking your input in a new survey about the use of Work-Based Learning (WBL) programs across the state. Employer feedback will assist IWD staff in identifying business needs and elevate Work-Based Learning opportunities for youth.

WLB programs include Registered Apprenticeships, Quality Pre-Apprenticeships, internships, and other similar programs. Responses will be accepted until July 12, 2024. Employers are invited to take the survey here: Work-Based Learning Survey
