National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) is a nationwide celebration where employers, industry representatives, labor organizations, community-based organizations, workforce partners, educational institutions, and government agencies host events to showcase the successes and value of Registered Apprenticeship (RA).
Iowa's leadership in RA provides a number of opportunities to showcase the many Iowans and employers that currently support an apprenticeship program. Together, we developing a highly skilled workforce for the future.
The Iowa Office of Apprenticeship will be highlighting these successes and welcomes the opportunity to share your stories. The theme this year focuses on Engagement, Expansion, and Innovation, which highlights the work being deployed by our statewide industry partners!

Things to do
- Check out the National Apprenticeship Week toolkit developed by the Iowa Office of Apprenticeship for a list of ideas and activities to participate in.
- Using the toolkit or based on your own idea, establish an event to be held the week of November 17-23, 2024 (or during the month of November!).
- Register your event(s) with the Iowa Office of Apprenticeship through the Event Submission form on ApprenticeshipUSA. Submitting your events via the form will ensure that all Iowa events are shared with our federal partners and will help us create a repository of all statewide activities!
- Want to share your story? Use the link to highlight your organization’s experience with Registered Apprenticeships or ask your apprentice(s) to consider telling their story!
- Attend, Engage and Celebrate! Don’t forget to tag #IOA, #IAAprentices, and #NAW2024 when posting online.
- Submit your best “apprenticeship photo” to the Iowa Office of Apprenticeship NAW24 Photo Contest by Friday, November 22 at 12:00 p.m.!
